Founded in 1837, the Royal College of Art is the world’s largest community of postgraduate art and design students. Applications are invited for a Research & Knowledge Exchange Administrator in Research and Innovation.  This is a full time and permanent role, based in our state of the art offices in Battersea.  We have a hybrid style of working, usually 60% office/40% home working.

Reporting to the General Manager of Research and Innovation, the Research & Knowledge Exchange Administrator will:

  • Deliver customer-focused, efficient, and effective administrative and financial support to research and knowledge exchange activities 
  • Provide a high level of data management and financial administration and organisational skills and the ability to manage a complex and varied workload, taking the initiative 
  • As part of a multi-functional team, work with colleagues across the directorate according to the demands of fluctuating workloads and priorities

 The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent.  In addition, it is essential that candidates have:

  • Excellent communication and written skills, particularly in the preparation of agendas, minutes, papers, reports, and applications. 
  • A high level of numeracy, with a structured and methodical approach to problem solving and analysis.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise a heavy workload whilst retaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good level of digital literacy and proficiency in the use of productivity suites (email, calendar, documents, spreadsheets, databases) such as Microsoft Office or Google for work.
  • Experience of budget planning and monitoring, including liaison with finance and/or accounts specialists.
