Are you a skilled and proactive administrator looking for a dynamic part-time role? The Royal College of Art’s School of Design is seeking an enthusiastic Administrator to support the smooth running of postgraduate programmes at The No. 1 University for Art and Design.
Key Responsibilities:
In this varied role, you'll be involved in all stages of the student lifecycle, from admissions and timetabling to assessment and graduation. Working closely with the School General Manager, academic staff, and a diverse range of students, you'll play a crucial role in delivering exceptional postgraduate education. Duties will include:
- Managing admissions processes, supporting student records, reviews, and assessments.
- Acting as a key contact for student and staff queries via email and in person.
- Coordinating student recruitment, open evenings, events, and maintaining financial and student records.
- Overseeing calendar management for student timetabling and booking meetings or lectures.
- Administering financial tasks, including raising purchase orders, managing expenses, and processing orders.
- Handling room configurations, AV setups, and supporting virtual meetings.
- Providing clerical support for committee meetings and taking minutes.
- Collaborating with IT and seeking ways to improve administrative processes.
- Coordinating visiting lecturers and processing their payments.
Who We Are Looking For:
- A strong communicator with excellent organisational skills.
- Someone with experience in administration and customer service, ideally within an educational setting.
- Familiarity with financial administration and data management is a plus.
- An ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a busy environment.
Working hours:
This is a part-time position (17.5 hours per week until end August 2025) offering flexible working arrangements to support your work-life balance. Core days are Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday working Kensington/Battersea/hybrid.
