The Royal College of Art is the UK’s only entirely postgraduate institution of art and design, dedicated to teaching, research and knowledge exchange with industry. The RCA has been ranked the number one university-level institution for art & design, internationally, for the eighth consecutive year according to the QS World University Rankings by Subject, 2021.

This is an exciting time to join the RCA, as a Senior Application Support Specialist.  This role operates within the Digital Delivery team, and the successful applicant will be expected to have a strong systems support background with knowledge of standard software and web-based applications in several contexts.  You will have knowledge of writing, running and developing business system reports, along with advanced Microsoft Office / Google Suite skills.  You will have knowledge of implementing, supporting and/or upgrading business systems, such as Itrent, Stonefish, Dashboard, Unit4 ERP, Unit4 Student Management, Elsevier Pure and Raiser’s Edge or similar, always looking for ways to improve systems and efficiency.

You will be a team player, working with students and RCA staff of all levels.  You will have excellent customer service and a desire to surpass customer expectations in all aspects of business engagement, working independently with the ability to prioritise your busy workload.  Tenacity and patience when dealing with colleagues who may be experiencing difficulty with business systems, guiding them to a successful resolution

Along with your excellent communication skills in writing, in person and via conferencing, you will have a proven ability to solve complex problems where solutions are not readily available nor is the problem well defined.  Writing structured documentation in a format understandable to all levels of the userbase.

If this sounds like the role for you, we would welcome your application.  This is a full time and permanent role, based across all 3 sites of Battersea, Kensington and White City.
