The Royal College of Art is the UK’s only entirely postgraduate art and design university. In 2018/19 the College will have some 2,300 students registered for MA, MRes, MPhil and PhD degrees and over 450 permanent academic, technical and administrative staff, with more than 1,000 visiting lecturers and professors. 

The Research & Knowledge Exchange Office provides central infrastructure, expertise and support across research, knowledge exchange, executive education, research degrees and Critical & Historical Studies. 

The College is seeking to appoint a Research Information Manager to support the development and implementation of the College’s Research, Knowledge Exchange & Innovation (RKEI) strategies, policies and associated initiatives by managing, analysing, reporting and advising on research information and data.

The role will be responsible for ensuring that the information we hold about the research and innovation undertaken at the College is accurate and accessible, and that our reporting to internal and external stakeholders is as effective as possible, in order to maximise opportunities for research, funding, innovation and impact.

It is essential that the successful candidate has detailed and up-to-date knowledge and understanding of the research reporting requirements for UK universities, including experience of working within external compliance regulations, along with a degree or equivalent professional qualification. A high level of digital literacy and strong abilities in data analysis, interpretation and visualisation are essential to this role. Applicants must also be highly numerate, with a structured and methodical approach to problem-solving and analysis, and also have excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
