(7 hours per day)</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>The Academic Skills team is looking for administrative support for our busy online summer courses, triaging for two busy inboxes and set up support for current students&rsquo; academic skills support. We are a small team who work closely together across teaching and operational systems management. We are looking for a colleague who has excellent time management skills, works with a positive and constructive attitude and is very comfortable to take full advantage of online collaborative administrative tools.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>If you would like more information, please email me: &nbsp;<a href="mailto:sian.lund@rca.ac.uk">sian.lund@rca.ac.uk</a>.&nbsp;</p><p>To apply please send your CV and a description of your relevant experience to:&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>When sending an email please use the vacancy job title in the subject: Academic Skills courses administrator - Casual Worker</p><p><u>Purpose of the post:</u></p><p>Provide full administrative support for the successful running of ongoing summer courses and regular academic skills support for current students</p><p><strong>Description of Duties</strong></p><ul><li>To triage email traffic via two shared inboxes as the first point of contact for communication to and from staff and students.</li><li>To support with onboarding of students to the online summer courses including register and class lists set up, IT troubleshooting, online platform navigation etc.</li><li>To monitor student numbers and attendance</li><li>To support the summer course coordinators with daily operationalisation of the courses (for example but not limited to: setting up and supporting meetings, organising documentation dissemination, monitoring online platform use, setting up group registers, assisting with recording and monitoring of student attendance, organising end-of-course arrangements and documentation dissemination.</li><li>To support set up and bookings for current students accessing in house academic skills support &nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Person Specification</strong></p><p>Essential:</p><ul type="disc"><li>Excellent communication skills with high level of accuracy and attention to detail.</li><li>Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise a heavy, fast-paced workload whilst retaining excellent customer service standards.</li><li>Excellent functionality with the full suite of google workspace apps.</li><li>Excellent functionality with full range of zoom: meeting and conferencing tools, and advanced scheduling and booking functions&nbsp;</li></ul><p>Desirable:&nbsp;</p><ul type="disc"><li>Knowledge of MOODLE or similar VLE to support with content management according to the needs of the course</li><li>Good understanding of standards around managing, protecting and re-using data, including information security best practice and data protection principles.</li><li>Naturally collaborative, with the ability to use initiative, multitask and work as part of a team.</li><li>Solution-focussed approach to problem solving.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>Additional Information:</p><p>Responsible to: &nbsp;EAP Pre-Sessional Coordinators</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>THIS IS A ROLLING ADVERT AND WE MAY CLOSE THE VACANCY EARLY IF A CANDIDATE IS SELECTED - YOU ARE ADVISED NOT TO DELAY IN CONTACTING US</strong></p>
